Recently, the research team led by researchers Li Can and Jiang Zongxuan of the Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, devoted themselves to the research of ultra-deep desulfurization technology of gasoline and diesel. Based on more than ten years of progress in basic and applied basic research, it is based on the cooperation with Shaanxi Yanchang Petroleum. The group cooperated in the development of the process and succeeded in driving the 200,000-ton/year diesel hydrogenation unit of its Yongping refinery.

The China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation organized an expert group to conduct on-site 72-hour continuous operation assessment of industrialized installations from April 26th to 29th. The results show that the catalyst has high catalytic activity for hydrodesulfurization and can achieve the goal of ultra-deep desulfurization of diesel under relatively mild operating conditions. Industrialized installations operated smoothly, and all indicators met or exceeded the contract requirements in full.

On the morning of May 28th, “The research and development of layered polymetallic sulphides catalysts and their industrialization in ultra-deep desulfurization of diesel oil” held the results appraisal organized by the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation in Beijing. He Mingyuan, academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, was the director of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. The expert committee of the Sinopec science and technology development department and the professor-level senior engineer Xie Zaike served as the deputy director of the appraisal expert committee. He listened to the report of Luo Wanming, deputy general manager of Yanchang Petroleum, the research report of Dalian Candian Li Can, and the industry. The on-site assessment report had a lively discussion and highly appraised the technology. The expert committee of the appraisal unanimously believed that the diesel ultra-deep desulphurization layered polymetallic sulphide catalyst had independent intellectual property rights and it was an international advanced level, and agreed to pass the appraisal. At the same time, the committee suggested that the industrial application of the technology be promoted as soon as possible so that the technology can better serve the clean diesel production field in China. Liu Zhongmin, deputy director of the Dalian Institute of Chemicals, and Yan Guangfa, chief engineer of Yanchang Petroleum, attended the appraisal meeting and delivered a speech.

The ultra-deep desulfurization active layered polymetallic sulphide catalyst adopts an innovative preparation process, in which a lamellar metal compound is used as a template, an environmentally friendly raw material route is adopted, and an active component and an inexpensive metal are introduced into the interlayer. The catalyst can be applied to ultra-deep desulfurization of straight-run diesel, straight-run diesel and catalytic diesel hybrid diesel and catalytic diesel, and can meet the sulfur index requirements of the country V and the future country VI diesel. Under the conditions of the mixture of straight-run diesel and catalytic diesel (mass ratio 2:1), the sulfur content of the refined diesel product is lower than 1mg/kg (less than 1ppm), and the desulfurization rate is ≥99.9%. Refined diesel product yield ≥ 99.4%. Refined diesel total sulfur content, cetane number and PAH indicators are superior to the national V diesel quality standards.

This is the result of the cooperation between Li Can and Jiang Zongxuan's research team and Shaanxi Yanchang Petroleum. Following the success of the gasoline super deep catalytic reaction adsorption desulfurization technology in 2013, another application of ultra-deep desulfurization of oil products with independent intellectual property rights was achieved. The deep desulfurization technology of gasoline and diesel oil has been successfully applied and both have been applied in industry. This has important practical significance for upgrading the production technology of clean oil products in China, especially for reducing atmospheric pollution and controlling haze. effect.
