(2) Due to the limitations of the structure and deflection range of the airbag itself, it is necessary to check the possibility of reaching the required load force under the required air cushion stroke. Its relationship is:

(3) Determination of the volume of the air reservoir (tube holder). During the working process, the pressure is not constant. In order to make the air cushion fluctuate less, the air reservoir is used to stabilize the working pressure of the airbag gas. The larger the air cushion volume, the smaller the air pressure fluctuation coefficient, the better the flexibility, and the smoother the air cushion operation. Increase the cylinder volume and reduce the periodic fluctuation of the air pressure caused by the work to meet the work needs.

2. Analysis of work performance

If the 8000kN press requires an upper air cushion force of 1000kN, the airbag type air cushion feeding device can be used. The specific parameters are: the natural height of the airbag H0=558mm, the airbag installation height Hmax=300mm, the air cushion stroke S=130mm, the number of airbag airbags n=6, the feeding force W=1000kN (the principle of its gas path is shown in Figure 3). The compressed air from the compressed air station passes through the gate valve, the water separator, and then passes through the pressure regulating valve and the single-phase valve to enter the air cylinder base. The air cushion pressure increases as the air pressure of the compressed air and the air cushion stroke increase.


According to the process requirements, the pressure reducing valve can be adjusted to adapt the feeding force of the slider air cushion to the process requirements. When the air pressure is adjusted to a certain value, the air cushion pressure is basically linear with the air cushion stroke (see Figure 4).


It can be seen from Fig. 4 that when the feeding stroke S is designed to be 130 mm, the air pressure needs to be adjusted to 0.5 MPa in order to meet the 1000 kN driving force required for the process. If the user's needs change, adjust the corresponding air cushion pressure or air cushion stroke according to the curve.

Third, the advantages of airbag air cushion device

The use of the airbag type air cushion device produces a qualitative overfly of the performance of the press, and its advantages are as follows:

(1) The structure is simple and reliable, reducing the processing and assembly process.
(2) Good flexibility, uniform load and good anti-shock effect.
(3) Performance is guaranteed without maintenance and lubrication.
(4) The feeding force is large, and the designing hole can be designed, so the feeding range is wide.
(5) The air cushion runs smoothly and has reliable performance, which can meet different process requirements of users, and is convenient for supporting the use of robots, creating conditions for mechanization and automation.
(6) Since there is no piston, the airbag can be folded, so the axial size is small.

At the same time, it should be noted that the use of air cushion under eccentric load should be avoided as much as possible, otherwise the working condition of the air cushion will be deteriorated and the air cushion plate will be inclined, which will adversely affect the precision of the mold and the product.
