It is reported that in June 2012, the State Council decided to use financial subsidies to promote five types of high-efficiency energy-saving appliances such as air conditioners, flat-panel TVs, refrigerators, washing machines and water heaters. The promotion period is tentatively scheduled for one year. The Ministry of Finance said that since the implementation of the policy, the promotion effect has been remarkable, the market share of energy-saving home appliances has increased substantially, and the consumption effect has been spurred. The policy expectations have been basically achieved.
The notice pointed out that the implementation of the subsidy promotion policy for energy-saving appliances will be suspended after the expiration of the policy. From June 1, 2013, consumers will no longer enjoy the central financial subsidy policy for purchasing energy-efficient home appliances.
In addition, the notice requires that energy-saving appliance promotion enterprises should collect and sort out the production and sales of products as soon as possible, and timely report relevant information to the “Energy-saving Products Huimin Engineering Information Systemâ€; at the same time, prepare an annual subsidy fund liquidation report and report to the local government where the enterprise is registered. After review by the development and reform, industrial and information administration departments, they will be reported to the Ministry of Finance, the Development and Reform Commission, and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology before June 30, 2013.
