In 2016, China's recycled PVC imports returned to the rising trend

According to market sources, in the first three quarters of this year, China's recycled PVC imports have exceeded 320,000 metric tons, which is 25.9% higher than the full year of 2015. Exports for the full year of 2016 are expected to reach 450,000 metric tons, which means an increase of 90.7% over the same period last year.

China's recycled PVC imports reached its peak in 2009, and then began to decline for six consecutive years. By 2015, the number was only 236,000 metric tons.

From the perspective of the end market, China's growing demand for PVC tiles has led to a rebound in recycled PVC imports. At the same time, the rise in the price of PVC resin raw materials prompted manufacturers to process recycled PVC. The difference in the price of PVC raw materials and recycled materials has increased, which has promoted the increase in the number of recycled PVC imports in China.
