1 Parameterized design of threaded holes

Thread processing is the most common processing procedure in the factory. The thread pair is also the most common structure in the machining pattern. When designing and drawing the machining pattern, engineers and technicians need to repeatedly search and draw the thread pattern, which greatly slows down the design. . Shaped Hole Wizard It is a tool designed by solidworks software for various machining holes. It can parameterize the design and draw detailed drawings of various types of holes, saving valuable time for engineers and technicians.

1.1 First draw a plate to prepare for the parametric design of the next threaded hole.

1.2 Drilling the plate with the Hole Wizard tool in solidworks

Operation process:

(1) Draw a sketch on the plane to be drilled to facilitate positioning during drilling

(2) Click Icon, select the type and size of the hole to be drilled and place the threaded hole according to the positioning sketch.

We chose to drill the threaded hole of the M10 with a hole depth of 20 and a thread depth of 15.

We can clearly see that the hole drilled by the special-shaped hole guide tool in the three-dimensional design can clearly show the large diameter and small diameter of the thread in the two-dimensional drawing, which fully conforms to the standard of drawing in China.

2. Parametric design of the thread pair

2.1 First, we use the solidworks standard parts library to call up a screw, which is used to form a thread pair with a plate with a threaded hole.

2.2 We assembled the flat parts, screws and connecting plates into an assembly, saved them and transferred them to the 2D drawing. At this time we will find a problem, please see the figure below.

We found that there is no thread decoration line that we usually see in the assembly drawing, and we can't express that this is a set of thread pairs, so this is an inaccurate picture. In the case of such problems, we can solve them by clicking the Insert Selection Model Project tool.

After the modification is confirmed, we will find that the assembly drawing has changed, and it can correctly reflect the structure of the thread pair.

Summary: The use of solidworks to parameterize the design of the thread pair can be modified at any time, so that the design process is simple and convenient, which is conducive to speed up the design and improve work efficiency.
