Perstorp and PTT Join Hands to Establish TDI Joint Venture

Sweden's leading chemical manufacturer Perstorp and PTT Global Chemicals plan to establish a joint venture to produce and sell TDI and aliphatic isocyanate products.

It is understood that the joint venture between Perstorp and PTT will include the former Perstorp Coatings Additives Business Unit in France and the United States, with PTT and Perstorp accounting for 51% and 49%, respectively. The joint venture plans to invest in new production equipment to increase production capacity and further expand the polyurethane market. The joint venture will increase research and development efforts, increase operational efficiency to further increase competitiveness and increase market returns.
