Safety shoes CE certification
According to European regulations, employers must provide employees with safety protection to ensure that employees work in a safe environment. Safety shoes are an important part of this. The CE mark is not a sign of quality assurance. Safety shoes marked with the CE mark indicate that the product complies with all requirements of the European Union's relevant regulations, the Personal Protective Equipment PPE Directive (PEEP personal Protect Equipment Directive 89/686/EEC), and the CE mark is mandatory. Only safety shoes with the CE mark can be sold in 28 EU countries.
From August 1, 2005, the EU has also raised the technical barriers to the import of European safety shoes and adopted a new certification standard EN ISO 20344/20345/20346/20347, adding new test items and regulations.
