Through the healthy competition between them, the real “boss” of the future will be determined. "Now, nobody can determine which new material will become the dominant one in the future. The relevant person in charge in Guangdong Province said that in the next five years, he will be more optimistic about new energy, new metals, and new types of displays. Six major materials, such as high-performance composite materials, functional ceramic materials, and biomedical materials, will be used in the six major areas after the base is put into operation. The responsible person predicts that by 2015, the "Guangdong version" of the new material base will have an annual output value of more than 150 billion yuan, and will lead the country in other new material bases.

In addition, considering that some emerging material companies may be in the early stages of technology incubation, Nanhai District will invest 1.5 billion yuan in special funds to support the growth of related companies.
