Shaanxi's oil and natural gas equivalent exceeded 50 million tons

Sinochem New Network Shaanxi Province's latest statistics show that in 2011 Shaanxi is expected to become the country's largest oil and gas province.

In 2011, Shaanxi Province stepped up exploration and development of oil and gas, completed investment in exploration and development of 40 billion yuan, and drilled 22,510 drillings. Oil and gas production continued to grow rapidly. It is expected that the annual oil and gas equivalent will exceed 50 million tons, which is expected to reach 53.7 million tons, an increase of 14.3% over the previous year, and thus successfully tops the nation’s first oil and gas province. Among them, crude oil production was 32.4 million tons, an increase of 7.4% year-on-year; natural gas production was 26.7 billion cubic meters, a year-on-year increase of 18.6%.

In the past year, a number of major energy and chemical transformation projects have been rapidly advancing, with Lutian Chemical's 1.4 million tons/year methanol phase and Beiyuan Chemical's 1 million tons/year PVC phase II completed; , China Coal downstream processing of methanol acetic acid, Huadian coal to aromatics industrial demonstration projects and other projects exceeded the annual tasks, Shenhua West Bay methanol downstream processing, extension of Xiwan Coal and other comprehensive use of oil and gas, Datang FMTP and other projects started construction work; Shenhua Dow The comprehensive coal utilization project of Yulin Circular Economy is nearing completion of the approval process.

At the same time, Shaanxi has achieved fruitful achievements in energy and chemical science and technology innovation, and a number of international and domestic advanced technologies have been demonstrated. Among them, Huadian Group adopted Tsinghua University's proprietary coal-based aromatics technology to build the world's first coal-to-aromatics pilot project in Yulin; and Shaan Coal Group built 1.8 million tons/year of methanol and 600,000 tons/year of olefins projects. Adopting DMTO-II technology with China's independent intellectual property rights will become the first DMTO-II demonstration device in China; Yanchang Petroleum Group will introduce US advanced technology to build oil-coal smelting demonstration projects and create a new path for comprehensive utilization of resources.

In addition, significant progress has been made in the gasification of the Shaanxi project, and all cities (districts) in Shaanxi Province have achieved pipeline ventilation, benefiting nearly 10 million people.
