To help Mr. Meng recover economic losses as much as possible, the Consumer Protection Committee staff took photos of the furniture for evidence, and sent samples to the paint company to request authenticity verification again. On June 22, the company issued an appraisal report, which determined that the paint was not produced by the company. The staff once again summoned the parties to mediate. In the end, the two parties reached an unanimous agreement, and the operator compensated Mr. Meng with 38,000 yuan in cash.
