Talking about the operation method and precautions of lifeline

The lifeline used so far is mainly refined hemp rope. The diameter of the rope is 6 mm to 14 mm and the length is 15 m to 30 m. The fire-resistant lifeline for firefighters is usually covered with 2.6 mm aviation steel wire. The lifeline with a small diameter is generally called a tossing rope, a lead rope or a standard rope, and the lifeline with a large diameter is called a safety rope.

Method of operation

â‘ Fix one end of the lifeline to a solid object, and throw the lifeline down the window.

â‘¡ Hold the lifeline with both hands, hook the window sill with your left foot, and pedal the outer wall with your right foot. After the person is stable, move your left foot out of the window.

â‘¢Bend your legs slightly, push your feet firmly against the wall, straighten your arms, slightly loose your hands, look down at your eyes, and slide down the lifeline.

â‘£When approaching the ground, the right arm is bent forward, the legs of the rope are slightly bent, and the tip of the toes touches the ground first.

Precautions

â‘  Do not subject the rope to excessive impact or load during use; otherwise, strands or even rope breakage may occur.

â‘¡It should be stored in a dry and ventilated place to prevent mildew.

â‘¢ Rinse after use. After warm water, it should be dried in a ventilated and dry place in the shade or dried in time. Avoid long-term exposure.

â‘  Inspect frequently, if it is found that the rope is worn heavily or more than 1/2 strands are worn out, it should be stopped immediately.

⑤Users should carry out weight-bearing inspection on a regular basis, if there is no broken stock or damage, they can continue to use.

â‘¢ When keeping the lifeline, avoid touching the rope with sharp objects. If it is stained with acid or alkali, it should be rinsed and dried immediately.
