1, hose
In general, rubber hoses have a synthetic rubber inner layer that holds the fluid transported by the hose inside the tube. A reinforcing layer woven or wound together of steel wire or fiber is required in the hose to resist the pressure inside the pipe. In order to protect the inner layers of the hose, there is a layer of synthetic rubber on the outside of the reinforcement layer. They are referred to as an inner layer, a reinforcing layer, and an outer layer, respectively.
2, work pressure
When selecting the type, ensure that the maximum recommended working pressure of the hose and fitting is greater than or equal to the maximum working pressure of the system. The pulse pressure or peak pressure in the system must be less than or equal to the maximum working pressure of the hose assembly.
3, test pressure
The test means that it is usually carried out at room temperature using water or other suitable medium. The hose assembly shall be kept at a working pressure of 2 times for 30 to 60 seconds without leakage, and no pressure drop shall be considered to qualify the assembly pressure test. This test was performed in accordance with standard ISO 1402.
4, burst pressure
This means that the pressure causing the hose to rupture should be at least 4 times the given working pressure (currently, most companies have 4 times the pressure to design and produce the hose), but the burst pressure value in the product sample is only as soft. It is not used as a basis for hose selection during pipe production testing.
5, fluid compatibility
The hose assembly must have good chemical compatibility with the medium in contact with it, otherwise the hydraulic system may not function properly or the hose may age and fail prematurely.
6, temperature range
In order to avoid the performance of the rubber hose, the temperature of the medium and the surrounding environment should not exceed the temperature range that the hose itself adapts, otherwise the hose will age prematurely and cause leakage.
7, hose bending radius
The bend radius of a hose is the minimum bend radius that can be achieved by the hose operating continuously at its rated maximum working pressure. This bending condition does not affect the performance of the hose.
The bend radius does not mean or measure the softness of the hose.
Bending the hose to the minimum bend radius will severely affect the strength of the hose and cause the hose to fail. The minimum straight line length of the transition between the hose and the hose connector is equal to or greater than 1.5 times the outer diameter of the hose.
8, storage of hoses and joints
In order to ensure that the hose is used within the validity period, an appropriate system should be established to store the hose for storage control. In German-speaking countries, the storage of hoses and hose assemblies must be carried out in accordance with the standard DIN 20066:2002-10. The relevant parts are excerpted as follows: The hose used in the assembly must be within 4 years (timed from the date of hose production). The hose assembly shall be timed from the date of production and shall not be used for more than 6 years. During these 6 years, the storage period shall not exceed 2 years.
The International Standards Organization's instructions for the use of hoses/assemblies ISO/TR 17165-2 are slightly different from those of the DIN standard. ISO regulations: The hose/hose assembly shall not be valid for more than 10 years from the date of manufacture (from the date of hose production)
